Quick Update

We've been meaning to post this for a while and kept getting sidetracked, but now that Kodansha has licensed Chihayafuru for an English release (YAAAAAY!), we've ceased working on the missing chapters. We've also pulled our existing chapters from everywhere we could find them.

All of us are pretty busy these days, so we have no plans to work on any other translation projects at the moment. We'll of course let you know if that changes, though.

ChihayaFlood! Chapters 49, 85, and 86 Now Available!

We've been quiet for a while over here, but that was just because we were hard at work on several chapters at once! We finished up Chapters 85-86, and then (due to popular demand) jumped back to the beginning of the "missing chapters" section and translated Chapter 49.

Originally we'd decided to move backwards because we didn't want to step on any other team's toes who might be starting up from Chapter 49, but since that doesn't seem to be an issue, we're just going to move forward chronologically now. So expect Chapter 50, 51, and so on after this.

The new chapters are available on Batoto:

• Chapter 49
• Chapter 85
• Chapter 86

We're also looking into a way to have the chapters available for viewing here. We'll let you know when we get that set up.

Chapter 50 is coming along right now, but (as you'll notice if you click on those links), we're in need of a translator to help with future scripts. If you have experience and want to give us a hand, shoot us an email at rolybearpress@gmail.com. You can attach a translation sample if you have one handy (3-4 manga pages or a novel paragraph), or if not, let us know and we'll send you a short translation test.

RolyBear Is Back!

Hey team! Your friendly neighborhood editor here to tell you that RBP is still alive and translating away! Our previous cleaner/typesetter had to quit the team when real life got too crazy and things stalled out on our end during that time, but fortunately some lovely volunteers stepped in to help us continue the project. You can get acquainted with our new members over on the Team page.

We've got a backlog of edited chapters and are hard at work producing the scanlations for you oh-so-patient readers. I know this isn't exactly what you all were looking for, but we wanted to get used to working with each other before we started producing brand new material, so we fixed our previous Chapter 106 translation (we'd been meaning to do that anyway) and got it out onto the Interwebs. You can find the new version on Batoto.

Aaaaand now that we've settled into our roles, we've started work on Chapter 86. So keep your eyes peeled for that, and I hope to talk to you all again soon!

Chihayafuru - Chapter 87

Apologies for the delay, everyone! But good things come to those who wait, and Chihayafuru Chapter 87 is now online and ready to read!

The chapter is all over the Interwebs (such as at Batoto), and you can also download the new chapter here.

We're still getting the hang of this whole scanlation process thing, so thanks so much for your patience and please bear with us (pun intended) as we continue to work on the missing chapters.

RolyBear Press is Live!

Hello and yoroshiku!

Dee here, writing to you on a gray and chilly Sunday with some news to brighten the afternoon: RolyBear Press has officially launched!

RolyBear Press is a new translation group consisting of myself, Karice, and Ravenanne. We were brought together thanks to our shared love for Chihayafuru, and our shared desire to see the missing manga chapters translated, scanned, and made available to other English-speaking ChihayaFans.

And as of today, that process has begun! Chapter 88 went up all over the Internet today (such as at Batoto, among many other scan sites), and now our bright and shiny new blog is going live with it. The site is a little bare-bones (bear-bones?) right now, but keep your eyes peeled for more sections and updates as the weeks progress. For now, take some time to get to know us, and we hope you enjoy the newly posted Chapter 88!
